Precipitation presents itself in many forms, including water vapor, fog, haze, rain, freezing rain, freezing drizzle, snow, hail, and ice. These forms of precipitation are caused by and accompanied by numerous other meteorological factors which develop over time. Even the absence of precipitation, (i.e. prolonged drought) can become a factor in loss, damage or death.

PRECIPITATION CASE SUMMARIES
SLIP AND FALL - Weather or Not Consulting was hired us to assist with finding whether an HOA was negligent in failing to clear snow and ice according to their duties which resulted in a homeowner death due to a slip and fall incident. We were able to present evidence that the HOA was, in fact, negligent when they failed to remove snow and ice when it reached the required 4.0 inches which was recorded by a trained precipitation monitor residing in the same neighborhood.
FLOODING - An attorney hired Weather or Not Consulting to find out the amount of prolonged rainfall which contributed to major flooding in Sherman Oaks, California during 2005-2006. We were able to quickly provide him with the data he needed to resolve his case.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT - A trucking rental company contacted us to assist them in determining the accuracy of the facts related to them by one of their drivers who cited precipitation as the cause of the motor vehicle accident he was involved in. We were able to determine that precipitation was absent at the time, date and location of the incident involving their driver.
SLIP AND FALL - An attorney hired us to find out whether it was possible that his client slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk outside a McDonald's restaurant on a specific date and time. After gathering data and providing a report, we were able to advise our client that his client's claim would not have been possible. He subsequently withdrew representation.
