Everyone is familiar with the affects of hot and cold in their daily lives. It is the reason we move to better climates or decide what to wear each day.
Temperature can also affect things like whether concrete will set properly in building the foundation of a structure or if it was too hot to allow workers to continue laboring outside resulting in heat stroke.
TEMPERATURE CASE SUMMARIES
SLIP AND FALL: We were hired by an attorney to determine the weather patterns for a winter time frame in
which a week long pattern of freezing and thawing caused extremely hazardous conditions resulting in a slip and fall injury.
SEXUAL ASSAULT: A U.S. Air Force Prosecutor contacted us to investigate what the temperatures were in a Wyoming location where the accused threatened his victim saying that he would leave her out in the middle of that remote area if she did not comply with his demands. On its face, perhaps a frightening and long walk home, however, the temperatures at that location on that date and time were below freezing and would have certainly cause the victim to fear for her life. Faced with this pertinent information, the accused changed his plea to "guilty" and the case was quickly resolved.
